About a week ago the Epic Games Store released World War Z for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and since then the game has already sold around one million copies. It has also, according to CEO Matthew Karch, reached 70,000 concurrent players at one point, that was spread relatively evenly across all available platforms.
Despite the success of the game in the U.S, Karch wanted to make known that the U.S sales only contributed about one-fourth of the total revenue. With the aid of the Epic Games Store, World War Z has been able to spread even further into the global community.
“Saber is extremely thrilled by the performance of the game on all platforms,” Karch noted as well that. “On the PC specifically, we are performing way above expectations thanks to the support we have received from the Epic Games Store.
Since its launch, World War Z has been the top-selling game in the UK, pushing to the side Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which had previously been in the lead for three weeks ( two in a row ).
