Work Resumes on Telltale’s Final Walking Dead Season
Skybound have revealed that work on the upcoming finale to Telltale’s Walking dead has resumed, though the release date remains unknown.
Production was halted earlier in the year when Telltale laid off most of the workforce due to the closure of the studio. However Skybound stepped in to finish the game.
Skybound released a statement explaining the delay, stating: “It’s been a ton of work logistically and legally to get us to a place where we’re able to roll up our sleeves and get to the actual work.” Work has now resumed on the project, and members of the original team are working on the game, Skybound stated: “many of the talented, passionate team members who originally worked on the game are resuming development efforts today!”
Following Telltale’s closure, previous seasons have been unavailable digitally and Skybound revealed that they will be available again soon. According to the statement: “It’s likely that previous seasons of the game may be unavailable to purchase for a few days as we transition”.
Finally, it was confirmed that owners of the final season will not have to pay for the final episodes.
