Overwatch is unleashing its next new holiday theme and it’s none other than Winter Wonderland 2018. The newest event has some new skins, hero updates and holiday versions of some of the maps.

Blizzard tapped a litany of different winter-themed concepts for the new collection of hero skins. There are skins inspired by the Winter Olympics, holidays and just general winter motifs. You can view a full showing of the hero skins, map changes and game adjustments here.

Overwatch let loose the official trailer for Winter Wonderland 2018 on its Twitter account. It showcases more of the skins and some of the new emotes as well. Winter Wonderland 2018 runs from December 11 to January 2, 2019. You can watch it below.

What’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold

This was a surprise that many expected since Winter Wonderland is essentially a yearly tradition now. Blizzard has done a good job of keeping fresh content coming in for Overwatch, like the Lucio-Ohs cerealconsistent hero roster additions or free-to-play announcements. The content is always a treat, especially for major holiday seasons.

Not only is Winter Wonderland 2018 a celebration of Overwatch, its fans and many winter holidays, it’s also a good chance for Blizzard to drop patches to help improve the game behind the scenes. So, it stands to reason that there are also some major updates to the game. The Overwatch Twitter account released the patch notes on December 12. You can view a trailer for the larger patch highlights below.
