Version Exclusive gyms for Pokémon Sword and Shield

Most Pokémon games came out with two versions (with a few exceptions of course). The two versions always had version exclusive Pokémon and sometimes version exclusive legendaries… With Sun and Moon we even had Version exclusive Totem Pokémon. Sword and Shield will continue this tradition as well as have ‘version exclusive gyms’.

Pokémon Sword has taken the offensive stance and got itself a fighting type gym with leader Bea. On the other hand, Shield has stepped back into defence and tried to scare you away with a ghost gym with leader Alistair.

Interestingly, Bea looks like a female version of Brawley from Hoenn’s Dewford City gym. Whilst, Alistair looks like a Shy guy gone goth. We do not yet know how far into the game this gym is so we don’t know what level of difficulty you will be up against.

Each game will also have exclusive pseudo legendaries, Sword will have Deino and Jangmo-o, and conversely Shield will have Larvitar and Goomy.

So, with all that information has it made your choice on which game any easier? I was a definite Sword buyer before this and the fighting gym was a bonus. BUT learning I can catch my precious Tyranitar has given me something to think about. What version will you be buying? Let us know your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
