Two Taiko Master games set for this holiday

Bang them drums friends

Bandai Namco is releasing two separate installments of the popular rhythm based game Taiko no Tatsujin or Taiko Master in English. This will be the first English release in the series in over a decade. One will be for the Nintendo Switch and the PS4, they’ll come out on November 2nd this year.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! for the Switch will allow players to use the joycons as drumsticks with the built in motion controls. The game will also let you play as Nintendo exclusive characters like Kirby and Squidkid from the Splatoon series. Additionally there will songs in the game from Switch titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2.

 

The PS4 version titled Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! will act as a classic arcade title with it’s featured Ranked Mode, letting players to connect online and compete against others.

This game will also include unlockable costumes, sound effects, and greetings for the Taiko no Tatsujin mascot Don-chan. You can also play Guest Session with characters like Heihachi from Tekken, Pac-Man and Hello Kitty. Both games will be released with the optional Taiko drum accessory which both consoles will have their own respective drum.
