Kalypso Media’s, the publisher known for their Tropico franchise announced that Tropico 6 will be delayed until the 29th of March 2019.
The city builder simulator was scheduled to be released in January 2019, but due to the feedback from the most recent beta, the publisher decided to continue working on it and improving the game for the final official release.
Simon Hellwig, Kalypso’s owner wrote, “ “We know this is short notice and many of you, especially the ones who have pre-ordered, played the beta and gave such comprehensive and valued feedback, might be disappointed, but we think we can make the game better by adding some more icing on the Tropican cake.” Making the statement on the reason why the decision of the delay.
Hellwig added that the delay will help the company, Limbic Entertainment to improve the game from the thousands of players that participated in the beta . Features such as “pathfinding, a challenging multiplayer and the comprehensive simulation not only of each individual Tropican, but of the whole economy” will benefit from more testing and enchantments
For the misfortune of delaying the game Kalypso will giving out the first DLC for Tropico 6 for all those who pre-ordered by 7 pm (CET) on January 10.
PC, Mac, and Linux users will be able to pick up their copy of Tropico 6 on the 29th March.
