Ready your spacesuit for a new adventure!
Fallout 4 and Skyrim players probably like The Outer worlds. I do, even though I have not spent as much time on The Outer Worlds planets as I would have expected (I should mention that I am re-downloading it right now).
Although I have not put 100 hours in, what I did play I really enjoyed. It has sprawling worlds, interesting characters, a crafting system, weapons, and plenty of bars in which to spend your hard-earned credits.
For anyone that has been on a break from the game, prepare to suit up and head back on September 9th 2020, because that’s when you can play Peril on Gorgon. The first of 2 DLC’s for the title. At a cost of £11.99 (with a 10% discount for Game Pass members), it promises to be fully cohesive with the main campaign. With this little piece of story info to whet your appetite:
A severed arm and a mysterious message lead the crew of the Unreliable to the Gorgon Asteroid, formerly the site of one of Halcyon’s most ambitious and disastrous scientific undertakings – now a lawless den of monsters and marauders. Wealthy recluse Minnie Ambrose tasks the crew with finding answers about Dr. Olivia Ambrose, her mother, and the doomed project’s disgraced director, but they are soon ensnared in an intrigue that will change the colony forever.
The Outer Worlds is available on Xbox, PS4, PC, and as of June 6th, 2020 the Nintendo Switch (Switch DLC release date is not yet confirmed).
