Super Smash Bros. Ultimate won Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards this year.

Nintendo’s hit fighting series features dozens of beloved Nintendo, Capcom, and Sega characters to fight in an array of arenas. Originally released December 7, 2018, the game narrowly missed eligibility for last year’s awards. Doug Bowser, COO of Nintendo America, accepted the award and gave a small speech.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also nominated for Game of the Year, which has yet to be announced. Stay tuned to Daily Gaming Report for the latest updates on The Game Awards!

Hi, my name is Cayla, and I have loved video games ever since I could remember! The first video game I ever played was Pokémon Blue on the original Gameboy. It was love at first sight, and since then, I have always been interested in writing about video games and the culture surrounding them. Some of my favorite game series are Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and Fallout!

Have your say!
