Netflix adapting Resident Evil to its catalog of series was reported last year by Deadline. Now we have more info due to a leak on a press-only website and got posted by the Twitter account RE: Wiki that gives us a glimpse into the story of this new show based on Capcom’s iconic franchise.

Set in the fictional town Clearfield, Maryland, the narrative will take place 26 years after the T virus. It will center around three entities, the Umbrella Corporation, Greenwood Asylum, and Washington, D.C., where “secrets held by the three will start to be revealed at the first signs of outbreak.”
Resident Evil has come in many forms across all types of media. The games have been a hit since 1996 with dozens of entries! some of which are remakes and ports sprinkled throughout Resident Evil’s life in the gaming world. On the big screen, the franchise made a bloody and gory splash for 15 years with a $1 billion blockbuster franchise that ran from 2002 through 2017.
The next release will come in the form of a remake, Resident Evil 3 with a brand new online title called Resident Evil: Resistance, This will release on April 3rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately however, No date for the Netflix series has been confirmed yet.
