Last year’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order managed to steal the hearts of fans with its incredible performance. Ever since its release, there have been speculations regarding its sequels and whether we will ever see Cal Kestis again. Now it seems that some of those speculations may actually come true.
In a recent earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that Jedi: Fallen Order is only the beginning of an entirely new franchise. And in fact, a sequel to the tile is being planned. It isn’t too surprising to see that a critically and financially successful game return with a sequel. As of April this year, the game has successfully sold more than ten million copies worldwide. Which is quite an impressive number and proves against EA’s service-based games. The game will also be making its way to Google Stadia sometime this year. Showing that single-player games still hold their own against multiplayer games.
Even more so, Respawn has been putting up job listings for major positions at the studio. Hinting at the production of more Star Wars content. This furthermore proves that EA is looking forward to potential sequels.
Still, with all the information we have at hand, we can’t be sure if Cameron Monaghan will ever reprise the role of Cal Kestis again or not. We can only speculate and hope.
