The Last Of Us Part II is one of the most anticipated games of the year and many fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting for it to come out to experience the next chapter of Joel and Ellie’s story. Unfortunately, the past few weeks haven’t been so good for The Last Of Us Fans, as major story leaks began to surface online. It now seems though that Sony has identified those responsible.
This news comes from a statement sent to GamesIndustry.biz, in which Sony confirmed that they had found those responsible for the major story leaks. The leaks that surfaced online showed footage and several major story details from the plot of the game.
GamesIndustry.biz confirmed that the individuals “were not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or Naughty Dog,” prior to what rumours where saying. Sony also said that they declined to comment further as it is “currently subject to an ongoing investigation.”
Sony announced that The Last Of Us Part II will finally be releasing June 19, 2020. Prior to previous push back due to additional polish and development time by Naughty Dog as well as the Coronavirus.
