Shenmue 3 Delayed for Further ‘Refinement’

Recently, Deep Silver made the announcement that Shenmue 3 will unfortunately not meet its August launch date. Following on from the announcement it has been delayed to November 19, 2019.

Yu Suzuki stated: “Whilst almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished. We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve.”

Ryu Hazuki

Shenmue 3, if you are not aware already sees the continuation of Yu Suzuki’s saga featuring Ryo Hazuki following on from his father’s murder. Shenmue 3 was officially announced on stage at Sony’s E3 2015 press conference and simultaneously launched on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The Kickstarter broke two Guinness World Records raising over $6 million dollars and has a massive following.
