Rust is Finally Coming to Console & Here is What You Need to Know

Rust is finally getting a console release (Picture: Steam)

Rust has been out on PC in early access since 2013 and was officially released in February 2018. The game has a massive fan base with servers constantly full and is a fully online multiplayer survival. You build a basic base, basic weapons, like bows and spears until you find better loot which can be used to kill other players and raid other peoples bases (to get even better stuff!). My best advice for doing well in Rust is be a jerk. We love the game and when we saw the trailer during a live stream at X019 we couldn’t wait for it to come to a brand new audience.

The game is truly brutal, you have to constantly be on your toes. Playing with friends really helps as there is constantly a target on your back and hours of progress can turn into you waking up on a beach with nothing but a rock and a wooden torch completely but naked hitting a tree with a rock.

Rust on console will be released in 2020, there is not an official date yet but doubt it will be any time after Q2 2020. If you haven’t had a chance to play Rust because of it only being on PC you now have no excuse to give it a go.

Hiya, I'm Ollie, I love a great many things; Dogs, steak, food in general and especially Video Games. I especially love linear story telling games like Life is Strange and action RPG's like The Witcher 3. I really like The Witcher 3.

Have your say!
