PUBG Developers Plan To Improve in game sound by end of the year

PUBG Corp has released a new Dev Letter, detailing all the improvements they plan to make to the sound in PUBG. Now, this is fantastic news for fans of PUBG as when it comes to first-person shooters, especially games like PUBG sound is such an essential factor, as it gives you crucial information as to where the enemy is.

In the dev letter, PUBG Corp goes over how they want to improve the sound in PUBG by giving a roadmap, which you can see below.

Now they aim to improve the sound in 6 main areas of PUBG these being:

  1. Improve player QoL regarding sound
  2. Adjust sound balance related to gameplay
  3. Improve various character animation sounds
  4. Improve gun firing sounds
  5. Improve vehicle sounds
  6. Improve indoor reverb sounds

So as we can see from the roadmap, the first update to the sound in PUBG is two things, the first being instant volume reducer feature. Now basically what they say this feature does is reduce the noise of planes starting up, or if you are in the red zone, the explosions shouldn’t be as loud. They have realised a video showing off the feature which you can see below:

The next sound feature to come to PUBG in August is a volume adjust guide feature, allowing players to adjust the volume to what they feel comfortable with, an image can be seen below of this feature:
