Sony has revealed the first look at PS5 box art

We’ve got another reveal of new PS5 content on our hands. Sony has just revealed the box art for Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PlayStation Blog. This is the first look at PS5 box art so far, and it’s quite similar to the current box art. The main difference is the color of the console title section, which has gone from blue to white. Coincidentally, this seems to match the change to a white color scheme for the console itself.

Moreover, the cover art for the game itself is amazing. It’s an evolution from the cover of the first Spider-Man game. But, at the same time, it makes it obvious that this game is about Miles, not Peter Parker. While the pose is nearly the same, the glowing fist and changes to the title font highlight the differences between the two titles. It’s a pretty great way to start the next console generation for Sony.

However, the PS5 box art isn’t what we may have been expecting; with very different console design, players may have expected a new take on the boxes. Yet, it seems that PlayStation games will look the same for at least another generation.
