Pokemon Home has officially launched on Nintendo Switch, after much anticipation. This cloud service app acts as a storage facility for all the companions you’ve caught. Plus, you can transfer Pokemon titles, which include Pokemon Sword and Shield and Let’s Go.
The most stylish addition to the game is Grand Oak, who states that his dream is to have a Pokedex full of every single Pokemon. If that wasn’t exciting enough, he gives you a level 5 Pikachu just for opening the game.
Transferring also plays a large part in Pokemon Home. It allows you to store your collected Pokemon in your Bank, ready to be transferred to a compatible game. Doing so will award you with 3000 HOME Points. If you find that your bank is filling up with duplicates, don’t worry, Home gives you the ability to mass release.
If that wasn’t enough, Home also allows you to transfer 35 previously unobtainable Pokemon into Sword and Shield. Mew, Rowlet, and Litten, to name a few, the full list can be found here.
Don’t forget that Home is also available on mobile devices. If you haven’t already, log in to the app and you will be able to pick a free Pokemon from Squirtle, Bulbasaur or Charmander. In addition, if you complete a challenge on the mobile app and connect to your switch, you’ll receive a free Pichu.
