Pokemon Go – Suicune Raid Day August 17th

Pokemon Go Raid

The usual Pokemon Go fest in Yokamama, Japan was hosted by Niantic this summer, this is the third year this has happened. As per the norm, Niantic held a series of global challenges for players to accomplish during this event.

As a reward for completing these challenges, the studio has decided to make several bonuses available for the mobile title for a week and is also bringing back another Legendary dog for a special Pokemon Go Raid Day this upcoming Saturday on August 17th.

The bonuses are as follows from August 13th-20th:

  • All Stardust earned from catching and hatching Pokemon is tripled.
  • For participating in Raid Battles will earn you 3000 Stardust.
  • Any Star Pieces used during this week will last an hour instead of thirty minutes.
As I final reward, the Legendary dog Suicune will make its way back to five-star Raids and will be available from 4-7 PM local time but only on Saturday, August 17th. As a bonus of a bonus, you might also encounter a shiny variant of this Legendary Pokemon.
Suicune is not the only Legendary to make a reappearance recently, Rayquaza also recently returned for a limited time for a Pokemon Go raid until September 2nd.

Community day!

Furthermore, Pokemon Go’s next Community day is getting ready for launch for September 15th. The featured Pokemon this time is the Grass-type stater Turtwig! When this event takes place, Turtwig will spawn more than anything else around, and you’ll have your first chance to capture a shiny Turtwig! Along with that, all Stardust earned from catching any Pokemon during this Community day is also tripled.

Have you managed to catch a shiny Rayquaza yet? Let us know in the comments below!

Hey, my name is Mark, I am 29, video game enthusiast! My earliest memory was playing Worms on the Amiga against my Godmother, yes the Amiga, massive box type thing, needed eighty-five thousand floppy disks to play one game, maybe a slight exaggeration, those were the days! I love RPG's, and The Legend of Zelda series. Dogs are pretty awesome.

Have your say!
