Call Of Duty Warzone is launching today and before the game launches, Infinity Wards Production director Paul Haile took to Twitter to confirm that a Playstation Plus subscription is not needed in order to play the free to play Warzone Battle Royale game.

Considering Fortnite and Apex Legends, as well as many other free to play games, don’t require a Playstation Plus subscription in order to play, this comes as no surprise, however, for those on Xbox you are required to have Xbox Live in order to play Fortnite and Apex Legends, so we can only assume it will be the same for Warzone.

Call Of Duty Warzone is Infinity Wards take on the Battle Royale genre and unlike its predecessors, Warzone will feature 150 players these being split into three teams of 50 players each and will see a new redeployment feature, this being the ability to 1v1 in a gulag for a chance to return back to the battlefield.

Warzone launches on Wednesday, March 10 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. if you do own Modern Warfare, then Call Of Duty Warzone will be playable a bit earlier for you. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. Pacific, and then Warzone will go live for everyone at 12:00 p.m. Pacific.
