Paradox Interactive to open a new studio in Barcelona

The grand strategy game specialist, Paradox Interactive, have announced the opening of Paradox Tinto. This new studio will become their seventh studio represented across four different countries. There are plans to start operations at Tinto in the immediate future.

Johan Andersson will be the head of the operations at this new studio. Which promises a lot as he’s been working at Paradox Interactive for over twenty years and is the creator of the original Europa Universalis. Therefore it makes sense to see Tinto’s goal to be overseeing the continued development on their iconic series. Specifically, the latest in it, Europa Universalis IV. Later, there are plans for the studio to move onto new games within the grand strategy genre.

As of the moment, the only new game on the horizon for Paradox Interactive is Crusader Kings III – set for release in September. Like many other companies though, Paradox are intending to host their own broadcast to update fans. A Paradox Insider is scheduled for June 6th, so expect more information from them around this date.

Indie games are my thing. Also card games - too much time on card games. I also enjoy D&D and run my own campaign.

Have your say!
