With the Coronavirus cancelling all sporting events. Fans have had little to watch over the weekend while self isolating. Last week Veloce Esports organised the NotAUSGP where F1 drivers, sim racers, sports personalities and YouTubers race against each other. This week they continue with the NotBAHGP with a few new faces and plenty of great driving to watch.
When Formula One cancelled the Australian and Bahrain grand prix F1 fans had little to watch on the weekends. Now with this mash-up of different players the NotAUSGP provided plenty of action. This weekend we got even more action, with plenty of great driving. From Jimmy Broadbent battling it out with Aarav “Aarava” Amin and Nicholas Latifi in race two and Lando Norris recovering into the top 10 after getting spun out at turn one in race one.
Veloce Esports has provided a great show for fans, even getting the attention of Formula One who started their own virtual grand prix. With plenty of people tuning in to watch the races, either from the Veloce stream to the individual drivers POV. With more races getting delayed or cancelled it does beg the question, will this continue until the season starts officially?
Well viewer numbers would say that it is a good idea. The NotBAHGP managed to continue on what NotAUSGP started, we are sure that while the official F1 season is on hiatus that this will continue.
