Hello Games, have come under some fire in the past mainly with the initial launch of No Man’s Sky that released on August 9th, 2016. They have, however, continued their promise of updating the title and making it the game they have always dreamed of releasing and maybe in the future a Nintendo Switch version is on the cards.
No Man’s Sky Beyond is Hello Games; next colossal update is releasing on August 14th- ‘BEYOND is the culmination of 12 months of work on what was originally going to be three large separate updates.’ This update is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The Beyond update adds online multiplayer, so on your journey, you can run into a multitudinous amount of people- it can hold up to thirty-two players online which is a monumental feat compared to their four-person lobbies last year. It will also add full VR support to all PS4 and PC compatible headsets and incorporates a vast amount of fixes and community requested features such as alien/animal riding.
Now when Games Informer interview, the founder of Hello Games, one of the questions they asked was about the Nintendo Switch if No man’s Sky will ever release on the portable home console.
“It’s super interesting,” says Murray. “I love the Switch. We’re obviously very focused on what we’re doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I’d be interested to see what’s possible. But at the moment, we’re just very focused on what we’re doing right now.”
They are most certainly interested in porting No Man’s Sky to the Nintendo Switch, but the Beyond update monopolising a lot of their time, maybe once this update goes live on August 14th, we might hear more about information about a Switch version.
