It is the end of an era. The President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, has announced his retirement.
After 15 years, Fils-Aime announced that he will be stepping down to spend more time with his wife, family, and friends. In a very Reggie video posted to Nintendo of America’s Twitter account, he stated, “I leave in good health and good spirits and believe me, my body is still ready.”
Over the years, Reggie has made numerous E3 appearances and has always come off as charming and enthusiastic. His passion for gaming has been consistently genuine, making him one of the standout personalities at gamer centric events.
The person slated to succeed Reggie when he steps down on April 15th, is named Doug Bowser. We are not kidding. Bowser comes from Nintendo’s marketing department and has no known plans to abduct any princesses.
