A new Direct approaches! Nintendo has announced its next Direct will take place on June 11th at 12PM ET/9AM PT.
For those who are unaware, Nintendo generally launches a Direct during E3 instead of holding a traditional press conference.
The lead up to the Direct will begin on June 8th with two championship tournaments. The first will be the Splatoon 2 World Championship at 11AM PT, followed by the 3v3 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship at 2PM PT.

Tournaments are great, but let’s get to the good stuff! The Direct itself will focus “entirely on software”. Software is always exciting, but this announcement contradicts rumors that Nintendo would be revealing two new Switch models that had been in the works. As always, rumors are abound so no one will know for sure until the Direct launches.
Nintendo has plenty of software to show. Fans are eager to see more from the upcoming Persona 5: The Phantom Strikers, Super Mario Maker 2, and the updated Link’s Awakening.
The Nintendo Direct can be seen on June 11th at 12PM ET/9AM PT.
