While the drums of war continue to pound over the battle between Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo continues to trickle on by on a much more tranquil path. With the likes of the Switch and the Wii, Nintendo shifts their focus towards audiences of a much more casual nature.

Just Dance 2020 hit the UK market last week, and already Nintendo has secured their first and second place spots in the market. With the Switch version accounting for 55%, Wii 21%, PlayStation 4 14%, and Xbox One 10%; the party-starter hit has brought Nintendo out of the shadows and slapped the two warring factions straight in the face.

There’s no denying the Wii has been left behind these days. What with the endless spool of talks on next-gen consoles and what have you. But, surprisingly, that little old console has nudged its way past a kingpin or two in style. So let’s hope it can keep those cogs turning and prove that the Wii does, in fact, have a much longer shelf life than we might’ve originally expected.
