Nintendo Direct delayed due to an earthquake in Japan

Anyone expecting a new Nintendo Direct today will have to wait a little longer due to a serious earthquake that occurred last night in Japan. Japan’s northern most island of Hokkaido suffered a magnitude 6.6 earthquake which caused landslides, power outages, with 7 casualties, and 32 people missing in the tragic event.

This is actually the second natural disaster of the week as the strongest typhoon in 25 years hit Western Japan earlier this week. The typhoon left 11 dead with flooding at the Kansai International Airport. In the wake of the earthquake Nintendo has since delayed both English and Japanese airings of the Direct to a later unknown date.

Let’s hope that Hokkaido can recover from such an incident as our hearts go out to the injured and the people who lost their lives. Comment below on how you feel about the earthquake in Japan.
