Nintendo Confirms Overwatch 2 for Nintendo Switch

Overwatch 2 has been officially confirmed for a Nintendo Switch release, the sequel to Blizzard’s team-based game of the same name, was originally announced at BlizzCon 2019. Coming to PC, Playstation, Xbox, and now Nintendo consoles, this game will build off the original by adding a more developed story and continuing to have a cast of unique heroes we’ve all grown to love.

On December 6th, Nintendo released a gameplay trailer for Overwatch 2, confirming that it will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. Check out the video below.

Blizzard has not announced any release date information. Jeff Kaplan, the lead designer at Overwatch, said at the BlizzCon panel “…just let us make [Overwatch 2] great, that’s what we care about more than anything. We don’t have a date in mind.”
