New Nintendo Switch model will come out next year

Supposedly, Nintendo will be releasing a new version of the Nintendo Switch sometime next year. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo will be introducing a new version which will “likely share many features with the current version and be compatible with existing Switch game software.” Additionally, the report claims Nintendo is doing this to help give the hybrid console a boost in sales. As of late, sales of the Switch have slowed down.

Regardless, the Switch has been highly successful selling nearly 20 million units since its release. Secondly, the report claims that Nintendo is debating what new features to include. Some thoughts surround a new LCD screen to “make it brighter, thinner and more energy-efficient”.

This seems like Nintendo will go about the same route they did with the 3DS. Creating new versions and adding new features to what is needed in the community.
