New Kirby game could be coming in 2019

Kirby games have been a Nintendo cash cow for decades, so it’s no surprise that a new rumor has suggested that Kirby will be headed to Switch in 2019. Any news about a new Kirby game is good news.

Switch Stop recently found an interesting placeholder on Amazon and shared the news on their Twitter account. You can view the tweet below.

As mentioned in the tweet above, this is likely something different from Kirby Star Allies. The tricky part about predicting any Kirby rumor-fueled happenings is the broad range of genres and games he’s already been in.

Kirby has been in traditional platformers, fighting games, racing games and even got a pinball game back in the ’90s. Kirby games share the titular character’s versatility in which they both can take various forms.

With that being said, I don’t know what to expect from a new entry. The latest game, Kirby Star Allies, who just announced the future addition of the Mage Sisters, was a more traditional game, so the newest entry could be something totally different. Until then, we’ll just have to wait for the next rumor or announcement.

What are your predictions on the next Kirby game? Whether the Amazon listing is legitimate or not, Kirby will get a new game sooner or later. What are some of your favorite Kirby games to date? Mine might have to be Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. Share your thoughts in the comments below!

In other news, Fortnite has released another patch to help re-balance some weapons.
