New footage of Resident 2 remake with Claire Redfield

At Gamescom recently Capcom revealed a new gameplay video of their upcoming remake of Resident 2 which will arrive on January 25th, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The video showcases Claire Redfield in action as she was one of the main characters of the original Resident Evil 2 released back in 1998 on the Playstation 1, Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo 64.

The footage shows Claire saving a young girl from hordes of enemies that stand in her way. Plans of the remake had been announced back in 2015 yet it wasn’t until last year’s E3 that we saw any footage on the game. The remake looks to update the gameplay with recent entries that use the over-the-shoulder third person view rather than how the original game did it with it’s locked camera.
