Back in December 2K games announced that Bioshock 4 was in development and that Cloud Chamber Studios will be handling the development process. Other than the game being announced, we received no other information, such as a name, release date. All we got was that it is being developed and it seems we now know why we didn’t get much information regarding Bioshock 4.
As during Take-Two Interactive’s financial report which went over earnings from the company’s third-quarter, it was mentioned that the next Bioshock game will be in development for several years, as Take-Two made this very clear by stating the next Bioshock game “will be in development for the next several years.” So anyone who was hoping for a release sometime soon, well you might not want to hold your breath as you will be waiting a while.
So given this information, Bioshock 4 will be a next-gen title, which will hopefully make use of the next-gen hardware. Regardless though, it seems we could be seeing The Bioshock Collection coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime this year, as it has been rated by Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee. As well as the South Korea rating board.
Though 2K haven’t actually announced anything as of yet, so take this with a pinch of salt. Bioshock: The collection, includes Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, and BioShock Infinite, and in our opinion will be a great fit on the Nintendo Switch.
How do you feel about waiting several years for the next Bioshock game? Let us know in the comments below. If you enjoyed this article, why not share it on social media.
