Mortal Kombat 11 Reveals Two More Characters

Sweet Meat Hooks

NetherRealm Studios has announced two more characters joining the newest entry in the Mortal Kombat series.

Kabal, a fan favorite of the series who first appeared back in Mortal Kombat 3, was announced as a part of the roster earlier this week during the game’s first Kombat Kast, a regular livestream put on by NetherRealm to provide news on characters, maps, gameplay, and more.  In his reveal trailer, Kabal is shown using his trademark meat hooks and Nomad Dash ability before he eventually slices his opponent in two during his Fatality. You can check out the full gameplay reveal trailer for Kabal below.

The other newest character joining MK11’s roster is Mortal Kombat X’s bug-like D’Vorah, announced during an Inside Xbox stream by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon. There haven’t been many details shared on D’Vorah as of yet, but that’s likely to change during the next Kombat Kast on February 14.

What we know so far…

Boon also teased that there will be more fan favorite characters like Kabal revealed in the months leading up to MK11’s April 23 release date. Of course, franchise mainstays like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden have already been confirmed.

Additionally, the popular Mortal Kombat villain Shao Kahn has already been announced as a pre-order bonus, so no doubt fans will be excited to have the chance to use him after his absence in MKX. It’s also worth mentioning that a new character, Geras, whose abilities allow him to manipulate time, has already been announced for the newest entry in the popular fighting series.

Mortal Kombat 11’s story will follow the events of Mortal Kombat X, and while we don’t know a lot more than that at this point, we do know that time travel will play an important part. What do you guys think? Excited to get the chance to use Kabal or D’Vorah again? Let us know!
