Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition Announced

Anyone excited for the upcoming Metro Exodus release may have a chance to earn themselves an exciting special edition.

Deep Silver, 4A Games, and Dmitry Glukhovsky, author of the Metro book series, announced the Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition yesterday in Moscow, and it’s going to be exceedingly rare. In fact, only ten were made, and you won’t be able to find one in any store.

The collection includes a fully-functional, hand-made Nixie watch along with several of Artyom’s other signature pieces of equipment and a certificate of authenticity signed by Glukhovsky and Co-Founder and Creative Director at 4A Games Andrew “Prof” Prokhorov.

Huw Beynon, Head of Global Brand Management at Deep Silver, explained that “Each item [in the collection] is either an authentic real-world object or has been hand-made to re-create 4A’s original designs. We knew we could never do Artyom’s signature Nixie watch justice with a replica; so we decided to make them for real.”

The full collection comes in a steel ammo crate, and includes all of the following:

  • The Nixie Watch
  • Gas Mask and Filter
  • Working Bullet Lighter made from a decommissioned shell
  • Hand-made Spartan steel dog tag to be engraved with the recipient’s name
  • Leather map case with map of the Aurora’s journey
  • The certificate of authenticity

Apparently, fans will have a chance to win one of nine special editions (the tenth was given to 4A Games) through a series of special promotions in the weeks to come. Fans are encouraged to register at MetroTheGame.com or follow the game on Twitter or Facebook.

With all that said, will you be trying your hand at winning one of these impressive collections?
