Rumor’s of new Mass Effect trilogy Seems To Be FAKE NEWS!
At the beginning of the last week, we heard rumors of a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster. And with all the remasters going on then this seemed totally possible. However, by the end of the week, some different twitter users had pointed out that this was indeed fake news.
It all started way back in the days of last week. A Reddit user called aspiretobegood said that there was a rumor already circulating. In itself, not very interesting, except that aspiretobegood was also claiming to be a Q&A tester for EA/BioWare. He said that EA would be bringing the entire franchise over to the Frostbite engine. For anyone that is NOT in the know: Frostbite is a game engine developed by DICE, designed for cross-platform use on Microsoft Windows, seventh-generation game consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and eighth-generation game consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now you know, don’t say we never give you anything!
Aspiretobegood also said that EA would be making some pretty big changes to the original Mass Effect. Some others on the World Wide Web (we never call it that anymore) have said that this statement alone seems improbable. This is mainly because BioWare is currently working on a new Dragon Age game and Anthem 2.0. You can check the article here.
Another industry insider (Shinobi602) tweeted at the end of the week saying that this was ‘fake as hell lol’ Let’s also add to the fact that at the recent EA live stream Mass Effect did not feature anywhere. So it looks to be fake. BUT, what we want to know is, if its fake then why start the rumor at all. Of all the things to ‘remaster’ was Mass Effect one of these, we asked for? I can’t remember. Comment below, and if you are an insider with actual information please give me a nudge!
