Konami had no idea Sony would pull PES 2019 from July’s PS Plus line-up

Not too long ago Sony announced the July 2019 PlayStation Plus titles… Interestingly; the announcement told us ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2019’ would be one of the two games free to Playstation Plus users this month. However, a last minute change saw Pro Evo being exchanged for Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain… A great change for users in my opinion but a much unexpected one.

It seems we were not the only ones shocked by the change. In fact, according to a Konami spokesperson Konami also had no idea that PES would be pulled from the line-up. In a short statement, the spokesperson told Gamespot “This decision was made by Sony and so please make an inquiry to Sony.”

Although this may seem like a minor issue this could have a negative impact on, not only Konami’s willingness to participate in PS Plus but other companies too.
