A Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) sequel may be in development which will delight any Star Wars fans out there.

Jordan Maison, who recently wrote an article on Cinelinx, reports with confidence that a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic sequel is on its way. He writes: “According to one [source], the previously mentioned Knights of the Old Republic remake is back in development. My other source added to that saying they felt it wasn’t so much a remake, but a “sequel” of sorts.”.

A Knights of the Old Republic remake or sequel would probably make sense given the fact that Star Wars has been a big EA license over the past few years. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released only a few months ago and has been widely praised for its success. The game’s story and background have also made the KOTOR storylines canon once more. Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017) has also turned a corner receiving positive feedback after it’s most recent changes.

With success, story and reason to make another Star Wars story based title at this point it does make sense. Especially if you combine the Bioware name attached to previous Star Wars epics and Respawn’s fantastic recent development all of which are under EA. Hopefully, we’ll see something with the up and coming E3 exposition. Perhaps something from EA themselves announcing a new Star Wars title.
