Greedy for more Diablo 3? You’re in luck.

Blizzard’s Diablo 3 is on its fourteenth season, and they’re switching the formula up. They’ve said they’re continuing themed seasons, this one being the Season of Greed. But there is more in store as well.

Season of Greed launched recently and following this theme, for the whole season, loot goblins spawn twice. That is to say, if one loot goblin spawns, another will too. Perfect for loot addicted Diablo players. So, Diablo players.

Blizzard announced in a Twitter post that these themed seasons would be continuing, but they’ve kept shtum on future seasons. We’ll just have to wait to find out.

They’ve also kept quiet but teased big developments for Diablo 3 in future.  Brandy Camel, associate community manager for Diablo, teased fans in a video on the game’s twitter. “The forges here at Blizzard are burning hot, and we have multiple Diablo projects in the works,” Camel said. “Some of them are going to take longer than others, but we may have some things to show you later this year.”

What this big development is, that’s anyone’s guess. It’s been speculated that a switch port might be on the way. Blizzard posted a light being switched on and off, and fans jumped that meaning a switch port.

Blizzard denied it coyly, stating “We can assure you we’re not that clever. However, if Eurogamer’s “sources” are to be believed, a switch port is on its way.

It remains to be seen whether or not this is related to Blizzard looking for a job for a dungeon artist for an “unnanounced Diablo game”. Blizzard have always been masters of revealing just enough to keep people interested, but not so much that the mystery dies. We’re looking forward to these upcoming changes, but there’s really not very much more to go on.

Would you buy a Diablo game on switch? Can you think of any other games Blizzard might stand to benefit from porting over? *cough* Hearthstone *cough*. Any ideas for speculation about what these big projects might be? Leave a comment down below and let us know!

Hey! I’m Fergus, screen name Tiblia, has been since I was 8, can’t shake it. I am currently an English and Drama Student, but my real passion is and has always been video games. I love PC gaming, but given my circumstances at Uni, the Switch has become my main source of Gaming Goodness. Big fan of RPGs, indies, and basically anything I can consume on Nintendo’s lovely new system. Looking forward to spreading some of my enthusiasm finally for some awesome games.

Have your say!
