God of War Director Reveals DLC Plans

God of War was a masterpiece of a game, and while the story was long and the world was expansive there were initially plans for even more content.

Speaking on Kinda Funny’s GameOverGreggy, director Cory Barlog revealed the plans were so vast, it would have to have been released as a standalone title, similar to games like Uncharted: Lost Legacy.

Barlog stated: “It would end up being its own thing,” adding “everybody had said to me, ‘Dude, this is crazy. This isn’t DLC, it’s a little too big.”

Nothing has been released in the follow-up to the game, with the exception of photo mode and new game plus mode. It would have been interesting to see what this new content would have been, though it looks like we’ll have to wait for Sony Santa Monica’s next game to find out.
