Speaking to Wired, studio head Rod Fergusson has said that Gears 5 will hit 60 FPS and 4K for Xbox One X and that the target is always 60 FPS.
If you’ve played Gears Of War 4 on Windows 10 then you know that there are a fair few issues, However, with Gears 5 being built from the ground up, players shouldn’t have any issues as they will have more options to choose from to optimize the game better. Rod Fergusson had this to say “Having a game that we’re building from the ground up for PC [means players] will be able to take advantage of all the types of different PC optimisation options you can have.”
Fergusson also said “You’ll be able to max it to quite high. It’s still reasonably early, but we can usually get to 120fps. It’s obviously going to matter what hardware you’re using to get that — but it’ll be able to scale up that high, [if] the hardware can push it.”
However it great and all them optimizing the game to get a better frame rate but they need to make sure they get rid of other issues such as game crashes which still persist in Gears Of War 4 to this day.
