The last Splinter Cell game was released seven years ago this being Splinter Cell: Blacklist, since then fans of the series have been craving and waiting for a brand new game to come, and while we have had leaks and rumours pointing towards a new Splinter Cell game in the works. We have had no concrete evidence.
Until now that is as Gamestop might have just leaked that a brand new Splinter Cell game is coming. As spotted by a Reddit user who discovered a new listing for Sam Fisher replica goggles which are available for pre-order by Gamespot. Now the interesting part about it is the description for the goggles, which reads as follows:
“For the first time since the introduction of Splinter Cell in 2002, after nine top-selling AAA+ titles, and with the 10th release on the horizon, this is your first chance to own Sam Fisher’s signature Ultra High-Frequency Sonar Goggles.’
Now notice how it says 10th release on the horizon? Now yes this could just be a mistake on Gamestops behalf, but with all the rumours and leaks we have had over the past year, just kind of point to it being a leak. On top of that, the listing has since been removed, and if you try to access the page, you will be met with an “Access Denied” page.
Either way, we will just have to wait and see if Ubisoft announce anything about a new Splinter Cell game soon. Are you looking forward to a new Splinter Cell game? Let us know in the comments below. If you enjoyed this article, why not share it on social media.
