Gamecube Controllers unveiled for Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Gamecube Controllers unveiled for Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Long live the Gamecube Controller

With the announcement of Super Smash Bros Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch and the ability to play the game with Gamecube controllers similar to the Wii U version of Smash Bros has had amazing reactions so far.  Since then controllers for the new game have been popping up already with this third party one being the latest for the new title.

Third party company PDP which is known for making Nintendo accessories unveiled their new wired controllers on the their twitter account showing three colors representing Mario, Link, and Pikachu from the game. The controllers will add some variety to player’s personal preference. If you notice at the image of the controllers that there is no traditional yellow C-Stick on the bottom right hand corner of the controller. The controller will come with a detachable C-Stick and a analog stick as well depending how the user plays their game.

“One of the coolest features is the ability to customize your gaming style by playing with the traditional C-Stick or swapping it out for a full-size stick. The innovative detachable stick design lets you experience the original GameCube style of play!”

Though this is a wired controller the limit isn’t as bad it sounds. A 10 foot cord should work wonders for everyone. The controllers will also include the Nintendo Switch’s signature home and camera buttons to make a it a proper Switch device. Which begs the question if future Gamecube controllers will include the buttons even if Nintendo makes their own Gamecube controllers for the Switch. Currently there are no details like pricing and release dates yet for them however PDP has said that preorders will be available soon for a holiday release.

Comment below on what you think of the new controllers. Super Smash Bros Ultimate will be released December 7th on the Nintendo Switch. In other news the new Atomic Heart trailer features new items such as weapons and maps to the game.
