Chernobyl-shooter Fear the Wolves boasts some big updates

Fear the Wolves is an FPs battle royale game that focuses on pitting players against each other while surviving the elements, such as the dangerous wolves that roam the map. It came out on August 28 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game had some original flaws so Vostok Games is looking to right the ship.

The developers made numerous changes in the newest patch, many of which are just minor tweaks such as game and sound enhancements or bug fixes, but there are some other exciting changes, as well. The wolves’ AI is now better and the can more readily coordinate their attacks. It also makes them more aggressive, they pose more of a problem to the player.

Some of the bigger changes include the player’s now being able to win by reaching the helicopter evacuation sites. Normally, in battle royales, you’d have to be the last man standing. It’s a breath of fresh air to feature a different method of victory in this setting. It almost has a Left-4-Dead feel to it.

Vostok Games has also now made it so that there are hidden caches tucked away around the map. The player will use “treasure maps” to discover these stashes.
