Epic Games are restricting ‘glider redeploy’ to game modes with larger teams meaning you can fall to your death once more!
Recently, in the ‘Fortnitemares’ v6.20 update, glider redeployment was enabled in all Fortnite game modes. This meant that players could redeploy there glider when falling from a built structure or when jumping from a large height.
Interestingly, the ‘update’ came with mixed opinions from Fortnite fans. Some of course, loved the increased maneuverability and saw it as an extra feature… while others missed killing enemies from a height and saw the update as a ‘strategic loss’.
It was today that Epic stated that they would be rolling back the glider redeployment change in tomorrow’s v6.30 update. It will be restricted to bigger team game modes where it was first introduced.
Of course, this probably won’t be the last time we’ll be able to redeploy gliders in default game modes. Epic simply stated, “We did not live up to expectations of quickly iterating on the mechanic and communicating plans.” Meaning the mechanic will probably show it’s face again in the near future.
Personally I prefer the competitive game modes without the glider redeploy mechanic. Let me know what you think in the comments below and be sure to share this news with your friends. Keep an eye on the site for more upcoming Fortnite news!
