Epic Games have released a developer update detailing some of the changes that will be coming with Fortnite Season 10; now if you have an old pc this news will not be good as when Fortnite season 10 begins, Epic Games have said that Fortnite will require graphics cards that are capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11.
Now the reason for this change is so they can improve on the game and add features without having to try to support players who are using older PCs, the full statement can be seen below:
Starting with Season 10, the PC version of Fortnite will require a graphics card capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11.
While a DirectX 11-capable graphics card has always been one of Fortnite’s system requirements, we’ve kept support online for players with older graphics cards – so they could keep playing!
However, when Season 10 begins, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. This allows us to focus our development and testing efforts to further optimize the Fortnite experience for all players.
As well as that Fortnite recently did an in-game event, to get players excited for season 10, now for those of you who missed the event, basically it had a massive monster vs a giant robot. The full showdown can be seen below:
Fortnite season 10 is due to begin August 1st, so if you have an old graphics card, you might want to consider buying a new one.
