The ESRB has rated Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

‘Some attacks result in decapitation and/or dismemberment’… Yummy

The ESRB has recently released a rating for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and it looks like the game may be even more adult themed than we thought.

‘Urkh!’ Looks like we’ll be seeing much more where this came from

Interestingly, From Software’s upcoming game has been given an “M for Mature” rating. Here’s the full rating summary:

“This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a disgraced shinobi on a quest to rescue his kidnapped lord in ancient Japan. Players use swords and a prosthetic arm to battle members of an enemy clan and supernatural demons in frenetic combat. Large blood-splatter effects occur as enemies are killed; some attacks result in decapitation and/or dismemberment. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man impaled through the chest with a sword; a child stabbed with a sword off screen.”

The description certainly lives up to the gameplay video we saw in August. I personally can’t wait for the game. This, along with ‘Ghost of Tsushima’… however, the release date for this is yet to be announced.

Sekiro is set to launch on 22 March 2019 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Let us know what you think of the game so far in the comments below… Which of the two will be better?
