Epic Games Store Getting a Revamp

Yesterday Epic announced that Epic Games Store is getting a face lift. Also they are going to include user reviews, gifting and much more. Epic games stated that the core values of the store is a fair share for all creators including developers influencers and modders. Also, privacy consciousness, which includes no third-party trackers and curation by people not algorithms.

In the next month to three months, Epic plans to add install management, redesign the store page, improve DLC, plus add cloud saves. Later on around 4 to 6 months, developer opt-in user reviews will be added. Epic is working on a solution to prevent review bombs. They are also working on adding game wish-lists, news-feeds and the ability to follow games.

In long term more than 6 months out, the store will be looking into adding achievements, having sales on multi games and also add a loyalty program. Some things that are being worked on at the moment could come out before all the things listed above. Those things are gifting, automated refunds and more language support.
