Epic Games Store has recently announced that for the 4th week of November Bad North: Jotunn Edition will be free. This announcement follows last weeks of only having a single game for free. Epic has been giving away two games often enough, but this is mainly because one of them was rated R, so for people with parental controls on would miss out on a free game.
However, perhaps this has been changed back due to a rumor of Epic offering a subscription service next year. This service may potentially offer paid items in games such as Fortnite and then 2 free games a week not locked behind the service, meaning even if you cancel a subscription, you would still have access to the games you added to an account.
The game being offered this week is Bad North: Jotunn Edition, which follows the real-time strategy genre while also adding a roguelike nature. The game offers unique procedurally generated islands, intelligent controls, and upgrade paths that allow you to turn the subjects into a true militia.
Bad North was developed by Plausible Concept and is the first release for the company. The game was nominated for Strategy/Simulation game of the year at the D.I.C.E. Awards.
