Drake and Scooter Braun become Co-Owners of 100 Thieves

100 Thieves is a popular and professional e-Sports team founded by Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and currently has teams in League of Legend’s North American Championship and Academy Leagues, Call of Duty, Fortnite’s Battle Royale and Clash Royale.

With major sponsorships from Razer and NBA powerhouse Cleveland Cavaliers, 100 Thieves have now added megastar rapper Drake as well as the owner of SB Projects, Scooter Braun, as co-owners. Thus, the team of owners at 100 Thieves include Nadeshot, Drake, Scooter Braun, and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert.

Drake and 100 Thieves have collaborated before on custom gaming stations and appear to have apparel on the way. Additionally, Drake’s popularity would certainly bring a new audience to the team while Scooter Braun, who was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, has a strong foothold in the entertainment industry and has worked with famous acts such as Justin Bieber, Kanye West and more.

This is not only exciting news for the team itself, but e-Sports across the board as investments from NBA teams and pop culture stars will attract audiences to what was, and soon will no longer be, a rather niche form of entertainment. The growth of e-Sports is rising rapidly and one can only expect to see more celebrities investing in these teams.
