Infinity Ward have announced that until December 2, Double XP will remain active. It will remain active for players until the beginning of the free content season. The double XP feature won’t apply to missions or challenges, neither will it stack with XP tokens saved. The new season is believed to be “the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history.”

Infinity Ward explained in a statement, “Season 1 is almost upon us, and to celebrate the biggest content drop in Call of Duty history, Infinity Ward is turning on Double XP from now until December 2, so you can focus on completing the Officer Progression you’re already undertaking,”

On December 3, a player’s officer rank will be ‘locked and memorialized’, including all ribbons and Officer Rank achieved.

Infinity Ward further said, “At the start of Season 1, those who have made it into the Officer Ranks (Rank 56+) will have their Officer Rank refreshed, beginning a new journey up the Season 1 Officer Progression track (from Rank 56 to 155)”
