Death Stranding trailer revealed
At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima showed a presentation of his latest game Death Stranding. This is his first title since parting ways with Konami. At the end of his presentation, he showed a trailer introducing a new character played by Troy Baker.
Troy has an impressive body of work of voice-over acting in video games. He’s played the Joker in Batman Arkham Origins. He’s in the Uncharted series, he also worked with Kojima before in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as Ocelot.
Death Stranding is supposed to be an open world game with the main character Sam dies at some point and ends up in an alternate world where it appears upside down with water going down into the ground. The name of the game derives from Cetacean stranding, which is a strange phenomenon among whales and dolphins that strand themselves on land before dying.
The game will feature motion capture performances from Norman Reedus, Michael Mikkelsen, and Guillermo Del Toro to name a few. Though there is still no release date, it should be arriving soon on the PS4.
