Ready your bikes – Deacon St. John could be full throttling his way back for the second round in Oregon very soon according to sources.
In a recent interview, director of Bend Studio Chris Reese spoke about the success of Days Gone and what the future held for the biker crew. “It is certainly a passion of ours, and that’s what we’ve always wanted to do,” Reese said. “This is a world that we want to keep breathing more life into and explore many, many different avenues. So who knows, we’ll see!”
Days Gone, which recently picked up two Golden Joystick Awards; one for Best Storytelling and one for Best PlayStation Game, is now in the centre of its well-deserved spotlight. With plenty of motivation to pursue further pathways into the Days Gone universe, Bend Studio now has more room for manoeuvre with a second instalment.
The team at Bend Studio has, in fact, recently updated their resume, which of course suggests that the next big project has entered the pre-production phase. And, as we could probably gather after the major success of the first game, Days Gone 2 seems to be the most obvious route for the team. But, we’ll have to remain on standby until the guys at Bend Studio shed a little more light on the project.
Days Gone 2 is likely to have a PS5 release sometime over the next couple of years or so. But don’t take our word for that. This is just fans putting facts to paper and hopes to dreams. But, if this juicy interview is anything to go by, then it seems pretty likely that a sequel will be coming sooner or later.
“Deacon St. John out!”
